Are you a dedicated and experienced Scrub/Scout Nurse looking for 6 month contract in a beautiful rural area? Look no further!
Position: Scrub/Scout Theatre Nurse As a Scrub/Scout Theatre Nurse, you will be at the forefront of surgical procedures, ensuring smooth operations and optimal patient outcomes. Your skills and expertise will be vital in preparing the operating room, managing surgical instruments and equipment, and working closely with the surgical team. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Working in a small theatres, who runs surgery once per day which is varied between scopes, ortho, general, ENT, gynae, urology and an on call component for C-sections only – no trauma.
- Scrubbing in and assisting the surgeon during procedures
- Ensuring a sterile surgical environment and adherence to infection control protocols
- Preparing and maintaining surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies
- Collaborating with the surgical team to ensure efficient workflow
- Monitoring patients’ vital signs and responding to their needs
- Accurate documentation and record-keeping

Requirements:
- Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration
- Full working rights in Australia
- Substantial experience as a Scrub/Scout Theatre Nurse, preferably in a similar setting
- Profound knowledge of surgical procedures, sterile techniques, and infection control practices
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure
