About the Organisation:
This youth-focused service in Porirua offers free healthcare and social support to young people aged 10-25. You’ll be joining a dedicated team of 10 professionals, including GPs, nurses, AOD counselors, trauma counselors, psychologists, and social workers. Reporting to the Service Manager, you will work collaboratively with this multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic and culturally relevant care to rangatahi (youth) and their whānau.

About the Role:
- Conduct evidence-based mental health assessments and interventions within a multidisciplinary team (MDT).
- Collaborate with rangatahi, their whānau, and other providers to develop and review individualized care plans.
- Manage risk effectively and escalate to specialist services when necessary.
- Maintain high professional standards, staying current with best practices and knowledge.
- Advocate for rangatahi, ensuring they are fully informed and involved in decisions that affect their well-being.
Qualifications:
- A relevant qualification in mental health (e.g., Clinical Psychology, Counseling, Social Work) at Level 7 or above.
- Full professional registration with a current Annual Practising Certificate.
- Post-graduate qualification in a mental health field is preferred.
- Experience working with rangatahi Māori and Tangata Moana/Pasifika communities.
- Strong knowledge of te reo me ona tikanga Māori and an understanding of the social, health, and well-being issues facing these communities.
- Ability to develop relationships and communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Commitment to maintaining professional standards, ethical practice, and critical reflection.
