Registered Nurse – Cardiac Care 

Location – Melbourne 

Position Overview: As a Cardiac Care Unit Nurse, you will have the opportunity to utilize your clinical expertise and compassionate nature to provide top-notch care to patients with cardiac conditions.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and assess patients’ cardiac health, identifying any changes or complications.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
  • Educate patients and their families about cardiac conditions, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications.
  • Perform diagnostic tests and procedures, such as EKGs and stress tests, and interpret results.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to patients and their families, addressing their concerns and answering questions.

Qualifications:

  • APHRA registration and working rights in Australia.
  • Cardiac or cardiothoracic nursing experience in acute -critical care
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Registered Nurse
  • Post graduate certificate or diploma in critical care/cardiac nursing desirable!
